First music lessons at the age of 6 on the bugle from my first teacher, Father Julien Moreels.
Started to learn to read music notes in the “Stedelijke Muziekacademie” in Zottegem in 1970.
Received the Governmental Medal Trumpet in the same school in 1979.
Participation in the recruitment examination for the military bugle/cavalry trumpet in 1980.
After military training in Koksijde, joined the Royal Band op the Belgian Air Force in 1981
Executive class music academy of Gent in 1982.
Transfer to the Band of the National State Police in 1984.  Additional instrument: drum.
Member of the international “Stepping Stone Visit” trio from 1985 till 1991, trumpet and vocals with performances in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and the UK.
Passed the examination for Military Drum Major on June 9th, 1987.
Transfer to the Band of the Royal Navy as Drum Major the same year.
Follow-up course drum major at the Grenadier Guards in Aldershot London, 1992.
Lead trumpeter, solo player at the “Revival Big Band” in Zottegem.
Vice bandmaster and 1st trumpeter at the Royal Orchestra VK in Zottegem
Director of the Egmont Tattoo in Zottemgem.
Teacher Drum Major and bugle at Fedekam West.
Judge at Vlamo on competitions for Marching bands.
Bandmaster of the “Tiroler Blaaskapelle” in Zottegem
Artistic director of the Orchestra Pandore of the Federal Police Force Brussels from May 2005 till May 2010.
